Almost 183,000 non-citizens are entitled to vote in the Estonian local elections on 15 October. Almost 29,000 are from member states of the European Union – and their common language is usually English. But who should you vote for?
Join us for a debate in English at Erinevate Tubade Klubi with some candidates for the city council of Tallinn!
We will have all major parties represented, plus a representative of the only expat election coalition. The debate will be in English and is centred on the issues that are most relevant to the expat community living in Tallinn.
The debaters are:
Yoko Alender (Reform Party)
Lance Gareth Edward Boxall (Valimisliit Hääled – International and Local Voices)
Kaspar Kurve (Green Party)
Kadri Kõusaar (Social Democrats)
Urmas Reinsalu (Pro Patria and Res Publica Union)
Abdul Turay (Centre Party)
The debate will be moderated by Joao Rei and Silver Tambur (Estonian World).
The seats will be limited, on a first-come-first-served basis!
The doors and the bar will open at 6:00 PM. The event will start at 7:00 PM sharp.
Tickets (donation to cover the event’s costs): 2-5 euros (cash)
