The truth and justice of Estonian cinema – and a movie quiz!

Estonishing Evenings is kicking off the year 2020!

The most viewed Estonian movie last year, “Truth and Justice”, unfortunately did not make it to the final Oscar selection for in the best international film category. But fear not, Estonishing Evenings will take a deeper look into the history of Estonian film-making in January. Whether you are a local or non-native, hardcore film fan or never even heard about “Kevade” and “Viimne Reliikvia”, we got you covered.

The event starts with a presentation by film expert Laurence Boyce (who’s originally from the UK, but now based in Tallinn), who will give a fascinating overview of Estonian movies through the ages, followed by a short film.

The event then continues with a movie quiz.
